The Marines’ Memorial Theatre is an intimate 564-seat jewel box theatre located in the heart of San Francisco's theatre district between Union Square and Nob Hill. Our historic San Francisco venue was built in 1926 to bring the best national, international and local Music, Dance, Author Talks & Lectures and theatrical/film presentations to Bay Area audiences. Our theatre is a well-known resource for local corporate and civic groups along with charitable organizations.
Our San Francisco venue has hosted a number of legendary performances, including Stomp!, Angels in America by Tony Kushner, Forever Tango, Camino Real by Tennessee Williams and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. In addition to acclaimed live performances, the Marines’ Memorial Theatre is also used as a venue for speakers, presentations, corporate events, celebrations and more.

All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Performances begin promptly. Seating for latecomers will be held until an appropriate time during the show and is at the discretion of the theatre management and production staff. Latecomers may be given alternate seats to minimize disturbance to the audience and performers. The lobby bar opens 60 minutes before the show and seating opens 30 minutes before the show. Thank you for arriving early.
Every person entering the theatre must have a ticket. Babes-in-arms and children younger than 5 years old are not allowed.
Please contact the box office directly to purchase wheelchair accessible seating or you plan on coming to the theatre in a wheelchair and wish to transfer to a regular theatre seat, as we can help you select an appropriate seat location. Because of the historical nature of the building, there is no elevator access to the balcony seating.
The theatre box office and orchestra entrance is located on the 2nd floor. Please enter the hotel lobby and take the center or right-hand elevator to get access to the 2nd floor. The left-hand elevator does not stop on our floor. Accessible restrooms are located off the orchestra- level lobby and also on floor 10M.
No recording devices are permitted in the theatre unless specifically posted. If a camera or recording device is used during the performance, it may be confiscated by theatre staff.
